Nu-Way Truck Driving Centers Help Students Meet Increasing Demand for Entry-Level CDL-A Drivers The country's recent collapse of auto manufacturing contributed in part to the decline in Michigan's truck freight industry. While Nu-Way maintained its 97% graduate placement rate, fewer total trucking companies offered positions to graduates. Nu-Way officials report that this recent increase in manufacturing and shipping has helped more companies recruit and hire Nu-Way graduates. Both the Pontiac and the Livonia schools are arranging multiple opportunities for their graduates, and many students begin their new careers within seven to 14 days of their completion of the four-week training and licensing programs. Nu-Way Truck Driver Training Centers' St. Louis, Missouri, location also faced similar challenges as a result of some of the nation's economic struggles. However, St. Louis' favorable geographic location allowed the number of entry-level positions to remain much higher. Today, career openings in the trucking industry continue to increase in the St. Louis region, and more than 15 trucking companies are currently offering to hire graduates of Nu-Way from the St. Louis area. Nu-Way is dedicated to helping trucking students gain the training background that will make them attractive new hires within the transportation industry. This qualification process contributes to Nu-Way's success in maintaining a 97% truck driver job placement rate for graduates. |
